Biography

Prof. Li Huating currently serves as Deputy Director of both the Shanghai Key Laboratory of Diabetes and the Shanghai Institute of Diabetes. She is a physician in the Department of Endocrinology and Metabolism of the Sixth People's Hospital affiliated to Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine and a researcher of Shanghai Diabetes Research Institute whose main research interests include the pathophysiological mechanisms of obesity and diabetes, and new targets for early warning and intervention. She is responsible for the Excellent Young Scientists Fund of National Natural Science Foundation of China. She has been awarded the Second Prize of the National Natural Science Award, the First Prize of Shanghai Scientific and Technological Progress and etc. She has published over 50 SCI papers as first/corresponding author in high-impact journals such as Nature Medicine, Cell Metabolism, Nature Metabolism, Science Translational Medicine, J Hepatology, Diabetes Care, Diabetes and etc.
