Reinier van Linschoten, MD, PhD is a postdoctoral researcher in the department of General Practice at Erasmus MC, Rotterdam, the Netherlands, and a general practitioner in training. His research focuses on the development, evaluation, and implementation of digital health technologies in general practice, with a particular emphasis on artificial intelligence, large language models, digital triage, and ambient scribing.
He leads and contributes to multiple interdisciplinary projects in collaboration with academic, clinical, and industry partners, including the development of a Dutch medical large language model and practice-based evaluations within the Academic General Practice Living Lab. His work aims to provide evidence-based guidance for the responsible adoption of digital technologies that improve care quality, reduce workload, and enhance accessibility in general practice.
