Biography

Prof Jo-Anne Manski-Nankervis is an Hononorary Professorial Fellow at the Department of General Practice and Primary Care, Melbourne Medical School. She is based in Singapore where she is Academic Director, Primary Care and Family Medicine, Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, Nanyang Technological University Deputy Director of HABITS, the Asian Centre for Health Behavioural Insights and Interventions. She is Chair of the Singapore Primary Care Research and Knowledge (SPARK) Network and Faculty Lead for the Office of Public Engagement. Through these roles she aims to optimise the involvement of primary care health professionals and people with lived experience in research.
Jo-Anne's research areas include the development and implementation of technology to inform decision making in general-practice, health services research and the use of data to describe and improve general-practice activity, with a focus on chronic disease management, cancer screening and antimicrobial stewardship.
A/Prof Manski-Nankervis has over 140 peer-reviewed journal publications and has contributed to three national guidelines. Over the last five years she has been awarded more than $30m in grants, tenders, and contracts. She is a collaborator with the ACADI Diabetes Centre providing critical primary care expertise.
