Biography

Dr. Jia is professor and chief physician of Department of Endocrinology & Metabolism of the Shanghai Sixth People's Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine. She is an Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and a renowned expert in endocrinology and metabolism (diabetes) and chronic disease prevention and management.

Prof Jia focuses on the prediction, prognosis, and care of diabetes and related metabolic disorders. She has revealed the prevalence of diabetes and contributed significantly to the "Chinese model" for diabetes prevention and control. Her research works have received 24,425 citations, making her one of the most influential researchers in the field of diabetes in China.
